After a long wait for Apple’s Smart Siri feature, some iPhone users in the United States now have an opportunity to receive compensation. Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit filed over delays in Siri’s artificial intelligence-based features. The company has not admitted any wrongdoing.
The compensation is for eligible US customers who purchased eligible models of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 16 series in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible users are expected to receive about $25 per device, while the amount could rise to a maximum of $95 depending on the total number of claims.
The case began after Apple demonstrated new artificial intelligence features for Siri in 2024. These included capabilities such as understanding personal context, responding based on information visible on the screen, and working more effectively with different applications. A lawsuit was filed against the company after the release of these features was delayed.
Eligible customers can file claims until December 21, 2026. They will need to provide information related to confirmation of purchase or ownership. Payments will begin only after final judicial approval.
