CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Tehran. Amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sharply responded to a threat by US President Donald Trump. Araghchi questioned whether the United States wanted to try its luck once again by taking military action against Iran. He warned that any new military confrontation could have serious consequences.
“Do you want to try your luck again?” Araghchi said in a post on the social media platform X. He said that the last time the United States tried to complete its campaign against Iran, Iran emerged stronger. Addressing Trump, he wrote that if the United States wanted to try its luck again, it could do so, but it should be careful. Araghchi also said that some of Iran’s work remained unfinished.
The Iranian foreign minister also targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He alleged that Netanyahu was trying to push the United States into another war to avoid legal action against him and the possibility of going to jail. These are Araghchi’s allegations; they have not been independently verified.
Tensions increased after Trump’s warning. US President Trump has accused Iran of threatening the United States and Israel for a long time. He claimed that US action had weakened Iran’s military and economic capacity. Trump also warned that if Tehran did not change its stance, the United States could take steps to end the conflict decisively. The statement came at a time when Trump has supported Netanyahu ahead of parliamentary elections scheduled in Israel on 27 October. Against the backdrop of already continuing tensions between the United States and Iran, sharp rhetoric from both sides has again brought fears of a military confrontation in West Asia into focus.
