CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The first skill-based university in Central India, Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal, inaugurated the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence. The conference is being organized under Navonmesh 2026, bringing together scientists, researchers, academicians, and entrepreneurs from India and abroad to share insights on various aspects of AI.
The inaugural session was graced by Santosh Chaubey, Chairman of the iSect Group and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, along with R.P. Dubey, Vice-Chancellor of RNTU. The keynote speakers included Professor Suresh Sundaram from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and Principal Scientist Savitha Ramaswamy from the A*STAR Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore.
Ramaswamy discussed the current and future applications of AI in detail, describing it as a powerful tool to enhance the accuracy of human decision-making. She highlighted AI applications in healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, energy, and research, and explained its evolution from rule-based AI to agentic AI.

Professor Sundaram focused on AI in autonomous vehicles, addressing the challenges and potential of safe and predictive motion planning. He emphasized the role of multi-sensor systems and the future of foundation models and multimodality-based AI.
Santosh Chaubey described AI as a potent tool for the present and introduced the AI Mission established by the university, aiming to train one crore (10 million) youth over the next three years. Ms. Padmavati, Regional Manager at Google, appreciated AI’s contribution to education and the efforts of the iSect Group.
The session also included a welcome and vote of thanks by Vijay Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, and Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Registrar. Following the inauguration, plenary sessions and technical presentations were held, featuring experts from India, Singapore, Germany, Malaysia, UAE, Kosovo, Vietnam, and Australia, who presented on various dimensions of AI and shared research papers.
The conference is emerging as an important platform to promote global collaboration, innovation, and research in Artificial Intelligence.
