The highlight of the performance was her rendition of the trending song “Tauba Tauba” instead of her classic hits, leaving everyone surprised. A video of 91-year-old Asha Bhosle from her Dubai concert has gone viral.
The performance video was shared by the official Instagram page of Kadak FM. Asha Bhosle, dressed in a white and black saree, sang “Tauba Tauba” from the film Bad News, starring Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri. Later, she even performed the hook step of the song, which had the audience clapping non-stop.
As soon as the video surfaced, it went viral. Following this, the singer of Tauba Tauba, Karan Aujla, reacted emotionally. He wrote, “Asha Bhosle, a living legend and goddess of music, just performed Tauba Tauba, a song written by a boy raised in a village with no musical background or knowledge of instruments. The tune was created by someone who didn’t know how to play any instruments.”
Karan Aujla further expressed, “This song has received immense love and recognition, not just from fans but also from several music artists. However, this iconic moment of Asha Bhosle singing it is something I will never forget. I feel truly blessed and grateful. This inspires me to create even better melodies and collaborate further.”
In his next post, Karan shared Asha Bhosle’s performance video and added, “I wrote this at the age of 27, and she performed it at 91, singing it better than me.”
