CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ashutosh Chouksey, State President of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), stated that the BJP government at both the central and state levels is entirely opposed to doctors and soldiers who are dedicated to serving the nation. Doctors in the country are always ready to serve the public, which is intrinsically linked to national service. The BJP wants to create fake doctors in their laboratories, thereby doing an injustice to those doctors who genuinely wish to serve the nation. The recent scams revealed in NEET examinations have severely disrupted the future of the youth, with new cases of NEET exam fraud emerging every day. The issue of paper leaks poses a significant threat to the nation’s youth and undermines the efforts of deserving candidates.
Regarding the Agniveer scheme, Chouksey mentioned that the central BJP government has mocked the service of soldiers by introducing this scheme, thereby demoralizing the troops. The Agniveer scheme is a disservice to the youth who wish to join the army, offering them only four years of service, after which they will be unemployed and deprived of the benefits that regular soldiers receive.
On the nursing scam, Chouksey said that it is an even bigger scam than Vyapam, orchestrated by the BJP government in the state. Despite the issue being raised in the assembly, eight nursing colleges were recently granted recognition. Aspiring doctors feel cheated due to this scam, which was carried out under the tenure of the then Medical Education Minister, Vishwas Sarang.
Chouksey also criticized the BJP government’s decision to halt student union elections, which he sees as a betrayal of the students. He stated that the BJP government in the state is intoxicated with power and is determined to ruin the future of the youth in every possible way.
Chouksey demanded that the NEET conducting body, NTA, be banned, the NEET exam be conducted again, the Agnipath scheme be abolished, and the culprits involved in the nursing scam be prosecuted and FIRs lodged against them. He also called for the resumption of the student union election process, which has not been conducted for years. NSUI will stage a state-level protest at the Chief Minister’s residence on July 15 to address these issues.
