CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: During his brief visit, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw spoke to the media in Jodhpur and informed that railway projects worth ₹44,000 crore are underway in Rajasthan. These projects aim to expand rail services and provide better facilities to passengers in the state.

The Railway Minister stated that the central government has approved a rail budget of ₹10,000 crore for Rajasthan this year. In the last ten years, 3,784 kilometers of new rail lines have been constructed and electrified. Station redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is also progressing rapidly.

Addressing the media, Vaishnaw mentioned that work is in progress on 1,510 flyovers and underpasses, and several new railway lines and doubling projects such as Pushkar–Merta Road, Ambaji–Abu Road, and Luni–Bhiladi are also underway. Approval from the central government will soon be obtained for the Ratlam–Banswara–Dungarpur railway line.

Making a major announcement regarding cleanliness, the Railway Minister said that now trains at 750 railway stations across the country will be cleaned like aircraft. Additionally, after the COVID-19 pandemic, 12,000 general coaches have been added for passenger convenience, and special trains are being run during the summer season.
