CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: From June 21 to 23, 2024, the 3rd TFI Open Senior Taekwondo Championship 2024 was held in Salem, Tamil Nadu. Athletes from the Sports Academy delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 12 medals, including 6 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze, bringing pride to the state.
In this national open senior Taekwondo championship held in Salem, Tamil Nadu, Sports Academy’s Taekwondo athletes Herman Singh Gill, Himmat Argal, Dipesh Pandey, Doli Malviya, Akanksha Patel, and Shivani Malviya each secured a gold medal in the senior category with their excellent performances. Aditya Prajapati, Anshul Yadav, Afzal Ali, and Aftab Iqbal each won a silver medal, while Anshu Dandotiya and Ragini Maurya each earned a bronze medal. In total, the athletes won 12 medals.
It is noteworthy that over 1,000 athletes from 18 teams across the country participated in this competition.
