CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Chief Spokesperson of the State Congress and former MLA of Agra, Vipin Wankhede, while discussing with the media, condemned the brutal beating incident involving Sunil Vyas in Agar Malwa and demanded protection and justice for the victim and his family.
Mr. Wankhede mentioned that Sunil Vyas from the Agar Assembly constituency has alleged that on July 2, under the instructions of the local MLA Madhu Gehlot, four individuals brutally beat him, causing severe injuries. His hands and legs were broken, and there was an attempt on his life.
Mr. Wankhede stated that even before the incident on July 2, Mr. Vyas had been receiving death threats from MLA Gehlot. Even after the incident, Mr. Vyas and his family continue to receive threats. Following the assault, Sunil Vyas and his brother released a video accusing the BJP MLA Madhu Gehlot of orchestrating the attack through his men.
Mr. Wankhede pointed out that despite the incident on the 2nd, no action has been taken by the police. Instead, the victim Vyas and his family are being threatened by the MLA and the police to not file a report. The victim is so terrified that he is seeking medical treatment in secrecy.
Mr. Wankhede announced that to demand justice for the victim, a protest will be held at the SP office in Agar on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Additionally, a meeting with the state’s DGP will be sought to demand justice and protection for the victim.
