CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A case has come to light in which Maharashtra Minister Atul Save’s brother and nephew were attacked in the Naigaon Khandewadi area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. The incident is said to have taken place on Thursday afternoon. The minister’s nephew, Amey Save, was seriously injured in the attack and has been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital for treatment.
According to Minister Atul Save, his brother Ajit Save and nephew Amey were on their way to their concrete mixing plant when a dispute broke out with some people over the road. It is alleged that the matter escalated during the conversation and the attackers assaulted Amey with an iron rod. He sustained a serious head injury. The minister claimed that money was also taken from his brother’s pocket.
Local reports, meanwhile, said the dispute began over the boundary of a farm pathway and the use of the road. Amey received eight stitches on his head and was later taken to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for better treatment. Ajit Save also received medical treatment.
After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and security was increased in the area. The minister spoke to senior police officials and demanded strict action against the accused. However, a detailed police investigation into the cause of the incident and the allegations is still under way.
