The NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal, organized various programs focused on social welfare and public awareness. As part of the Swachhta Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) directed by the UGC, a cleanliness drive was conducted at Borvan Park, Bairagarh. NSS volunteers actively participated and promoted the message, “Clean India is the foundation of a Healthy India,” inspiring everyone to adopt cleanliness in their daily lives.

Subsequently, on the occasion of Literacy Day, awareness programs were held in Gram Mugaliya Haat. School children were provided with stationery materials, and the Computer Science Department introduced them to digital literacy, cyber safety, and the importance of cleanliness. The children enthusiastically engaged with these topics. A highlight of the program was a street play organized by the Red Ribbon Club on AIDS awareness, which conveyed a strong message about health awareness and responsible behavior in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani said that the efforts of NSS volunteers are an excellent example of spreading education, cleanliness, and health awareness to every corner of society. Such initiatives foster discipline, a sense of service, and social responsibility among students. The NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club’s efforts were significant in serving the community, as they not only imparted knowledge among children but also created awareness and positive messages within the larger community.

Additionally, on the occasion of Ozone Day, the Physics Department and Nature’s Club jointly organized programs to increase environmental awareness among students. Participants delivered speeches and performed skits, highlighting the importance of the ozone layer and the need to protect it. The program emphasized that the ozone layer acts as a protective shield for the Earth, and every individual should adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle to preserve it.

The college administration congratulated the teachers of the NSS unit, Physics Department, and Nature’s Club for the successful organization of these programs.
