/ Agencies: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described Ayodhya’s Deepotsav as a symbol of social unity, cultural heritage and collective participation. He said Deepotsav is not merely an event for lighting lamps and celebrating a festival, but is also becoming a medium to bring different sections of society together. Through this event, traditions, local artisans and the participation of ordinary citizens are being promoted.

According to the Chief Minister, potters, craftspersons, traders, farmers and local people play an important role in the preparations for Deepotsav. From making earthen lamps to decoration, flower supply and other activities linked to the event, many families get employment opportunities. This also gives momentum to the local economy.

Yogi Adityanath said Ayodhya’s Deepotsav strengthens people’s faith in Indian culture and traditions. Inspired by the ideals of Lord Shri Ram, the event conveys a message of cooperation, harmony and social cohesion. He also said that participation of all sections of society in such cultural programmes develops a sense of collective responsibility and belonging.

Referring to the expansion of religious tourism in Ayodhya, the Chief Minister said Deepotsav has given the city a new identity at the national and international levels. The event is benefiting people associated with local trade, handicrafts, transport and tourism. The government’s objective is not to limit Deepotsav to a religious event, but to connect it with cultural heritage, social participation and local development.
