CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The final match of the 18th edition of the Ayush Cup was played between Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurvedic College and LNCT Medical College.
Batting first, Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurvedic College scored 167 runs in 20 overs, setting a challenging target for LNCT. From their side, Chandan Singh played a शानदार knock of 72 runs off 56 balls, including 8 fours and 1 six. For his outstanding innings, he was declared Man of the Match. Owing to his excellent performance throughout the tournament, he was also awarded Man of the Series.
Chasing the target, LNCT Medical College put up a strong fight but managed to score 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
In bowling, Abhinav Joshi delivered an impressive performance, taking 3 wickets for 15 runs in 2 overs and earning the Best Bowler award.
Thus, Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurvedic College secured a thrilling 9-run victory and clinched the title of the 18th Ayush Cup.
The institution’s Principal, Umesh Shukla, and Sports Officer, Rajesh Bhavsar, congratulated the team on their victory.
