CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A health camp was organized by the AYUSH department of AIIMS Bhopal in Bhojpur village. This initiative was undertaken under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director, Professor Ajay Singh, who is a strong advocate for extending healthcare services to underprivileged rural populations. The health camp, held in Bhojpur village, saw numerous patients benefiting from the services offered. Representing AYUSH, Medical Officer Ashish Kumar Dixit and Yoga Instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi were present. A special yoga session was also conducted for the children of the Integrated Government Higher Secondary School in Bhojpur village, with enthusiastic participation from the students.

On Wednesday, the camp provided yoga consultation sessions, AYUSH consultations, and free distribution of medicines to patients. Additionally, an awareness program was conducted to offer comprehensive healthcare solutions to various individuals. The patients ranged from youth to adults and senior citizens, representing diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Many of those who attended the camp were suffering from chronic conditions such as arthritis, anxiety, and hypertension. The response from patients was overwhelmingly positive. Moreover, participants expressed satisfaction with the inclusion of traditional treatment methods like Ayurvedic medicine, which provided alternative solutions to address their health concerns.

Professor Ajay Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department in organizing this health camp. He emphasized the importance of such outreach activities in improving access to healthcare and outcomes in rural areas, empowering rural communities to lead healthier lives. As part of its mission, AIIMS Bhopal is dedicated to extending quality healthcare services to remote regions.
