CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A health camp was organized by the AYUSH department of AIIMS Bhopal in the village of Sajri. This initiative was conducted under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh, who is a strong advocate of extending healthcare services to underserved rural populations. The health camp was held in Sajri village, where many patients benefited from the services. Representing AYUSH, Medical Officer Mudda Shofia and Yoga Instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi were present. A special yoga session was also conducted for the students of the Integrated Government Higher Secondary School in Sajri, in which the children participated enthusiastically.
The camp offered yoga consultation sessions along with AYUSH consultations, and medicines were distributed free of charge to patients. Additionally, through awareness programs, comprehensive healthcare solutions were provided to a variety of individuals. The patients included youth, adults, and senior citizens from various socio-economic backgrounds. Many attendees suffered from chronic conditions such as arthritis, anxiety, and high blood pressure. The feedback from the patients was overwhelmingly positive. Moreover, participants expressed satisfaction with the inclusion of traditional treatments like Ayurveda, which provided additional pathways to address their health concerns.
Prof. Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department in organizing this health camp. He emphasized the importance of such outreach activities in improving access to healthcare and health outcomes in rural areas, empowering rural communities to lead healthier lives. AIIMS Bhopal is dedicated to expanding quality healthcare services to remote regions as part of its mission.
