CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In compliance with the directives of the Union Ministry of AYUSH, the AYUSH Department of the state has issued necessary instructions to all AYUSH healthcare institutions for preparedness in emergency situations.

Dr. Rajeev Mishra, Deputy Director of AYUSH, informed that all AYUSH healthcare institutions in the state have been instructed to operate at full capacity. It has also been mandated to ensure that all AYUSH doctors, paramedical staff, and support personnel remain on duty, and no leave is to be granted under the current circumstances. Dr. Mishra further stated that ambulances, mobile medical units (as available), and other emergency vehicles, along with necessary life-saving equipment, should be kept in a state of readiness.

Continuous review of medicine stock availability has been instructed, and in case of shortages, immediate intimation must be sent to the Directorate.

Dr. Mishra also informed that all AYUSH healthcare facilities have been directed to ensure the 24×7 availability of essential medical equipment, stretchers, reagents, oxygen, and life support systems, along with the availability of beds in hospitals. Where available, operation theatres must be equipped with necessary supplies, and pathology labs should be made operational as per availability. AYUSH healthcare facilities with blood banks have been instructed to ensure full preparedness.

District AYUSH offices and affiliated AYUSH colleges have been directed to orient AYUSH human resources and paramedical staff. Private AYUSH hospitals and teaching hospitals have also been asked to be sensitized regarding this directive. Relevant staff have been instructed to remain vigilant about cybersecurity.

Additionally, the identification of frontline workers/volunteers and coordination with key voluntary organizations and major community-based organizations (CBOs), especially those whose members are already trained as first responders, has been emphasized. All AYUSH institutions have been instructed to ensure local-level implementation of these directives effectively.
