CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar participated in the closing ceremony of the three-day national workshop on “Enhancing Employability and Skill Development in Open Universities,” held at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University in Bhopal. He shared his views on the importance of India-centric and employment-oriented education.

The workshop was organized under the joint aegis of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, the Commonwealth of Learning (Canada), and the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (New Delhi).

Faculty members and officials from 16 open universities across India actively participated in the workshop. Additionally, experts from Australia, Canada, and other countries shared their insights through online sessions.

During the closing ceremony, the AYUSH Minister interacted with participants from various open universities and presented them with certificates and mementos.

The event was attended by Vice-Chancellors and representatives from various Indian open universities, Commissioner of Higher Education Nishant Barbade, and Vice-Chancellor of Bhoj Open University Sanjay Tiwari, along with several academicians and departmental officials.

The workshop introduced new approaches to skill development and employment-oriented education. Its primary aim was to empower youth by providing education aligned with job market requirements, ensuring a stronger future for them.
