CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : To ensure that citizens have access to healthcare services near their residences, Ayushman Arogya Camps were organized on Monday at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, which have been developed for this purpose. The goal of these camps is to deliver healthcare services to the last individual in the community.
The camps offered diagnosis, treatment, and referral services if necessary. These included blood pressure and blood sugar tests, examinations of pregnant women, children, adolescent girls, and the elderly, along with screening for diarrhea, pneumonia, eye disorders, oral/dental issues, mental health, ENT (ear, nose, throat) conditions, tuberculosis, and other pathological tests. Treatment and referrals were also available as required. Family welfare services were also provided in these camps.
The responsibility for organizing the Ayushman Arogya Camps was assigned to Chief Medical and Health Officers. To ensure close monitoring, instructions were also shared with Collectors and Chief Executive Officers of District Panchayats.
It is noteworthy that since 2018, around 12,500 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been developed across the state. These include 9,663 sub-health centers, 1,320 rural primary health centers, 796 AYUSH Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and 557 urban health institutions.
