CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : On the occasion of Independence Day, B.Sc. Agriculture students at the Higher Education Excellence Institute, Bhopal created a unique tricolor Rangoli as part of the Tiranga Yatra celebrations. This Rangoli was not only a display of artistic beauty but also a fusion of agricultural tradition and patriotic spirit.

The Rangoli was crafted using three types of pulses — green moong, urad, and masoor dal — representing the green, white, and saffron colors of the national flag. The central Ashoka Chakra was intricately designed, enhancing the Rangoli’s appeal. The choice of pulses reflected their natural colors and highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s pride as a leading pulse-producing state in India.

This initiative emphasized nutrition security, sustainable farming, and the importance of pulses in agriculture. The Rangoli was dedicated to farmers and agricultural workers, the backbone of the nation’s food supply and economy.

The event was attended by the Institute Director Pragnesh Kumar Agrawal, Agriculture Department faculty Ajay Kumar Bhardwaj, Smita Rajan, Shubham Mishra, Biotechnology Department faculty Ruchira Chaudhary, Hari Krishna Garg, Jyoti Khare, Pratima Sharma, Subhada Diwan, Rahul Michael, Nalini Singh Tomar, and Forensic Department faculty Anjali Acharya.

Director Agrawal highlighted the invaluable role of farmers alongside the contributions of freedom fighters. Following the Rangoli creation, a Tiranga Rally was also organized. Dr. Shubham Mishra delivered the vote of thanks, and the program was coordinated by B.Sc. Agriculture first-year student Shiv Pratap.

The pulse-decorated tricolor Rangoli added grandeur to the Tiranga Yatra, symbolizing respect for the national flag and Madhya Pradesh’s leading role in agriculture and pulse production.
