CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Baghpat’s traditional products and local craftsmanship will get an international platform at the fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, scheduled from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. More than 20 exporters, ODOP producers, MSMEs, women entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs from the district are expected to participate.
A major attraction will be Baghpat Home Furnishings, the GI-registered handloom product associated with Khekra. The product received its Geographical Indication registration in 2023, recognising the traditional weaving skills and regional identity associated with it.
At the trade show, Baghpat entrepreneurs will showcase handloom and textile products along with honey, millets and other local offerings. The participation is aimed at connecting local producers with international buyers and creating opportunities for wider markets and business partnerships.
The event will also feature Baghpat’s traditional food products, including Aminagar Sarai’s ghevar and the district’s balushahi, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the region’s culinary heritage.
UPITS 2026 is being organised by the Uttar Pradesh government in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations. The five-day event will bring manufacturers, exporters, investors and buyers from different countries onto a common platform.
