CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bank of Baroda Celebrates 117th Foundation Day with Enthusiasm The 117th Foundation Day of Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector bank, was celebrated with great joy by the staff members of its regional and zonal offices, as well as the branches in Bhopal city.
The events marking the Foundation Day commenced on July 17, 2024, with a cooking competition featuring Indian dishes for staff members and a painting competition for their children. Following these, the bank undertook various activities in line with its commitment to environmental protection: a tree planting event at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University, Bhopal on July 18, 2024, the inauguration of the Misrod branch, Bhopal on July 20, 2024, and a voluntary blood donation camp. Additionally, as part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank distributed essential items to orphaned children at SOS Village, Bhopal.
The celebrations concluded with a cultural program at Minto Hall, Bhopal. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Anil Kumar, ADG Welfare and Accounts (Madhya Pradesh Police), and Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, CMD of SEZ Group, graced the event as a distinguished guest. During the program, renowned poetess Anjum Rahbar enchanted the audience with her songs and ghazals. Staff members, along with their children and families, also participated in various musical performances.
The events were attended by notable figures including Dr. Sushil Manderia, Registrar of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University; Mr. Sanjeev Menon, General Manager (Zonal Head) of Bank of Baroda, Bhopal Zone; Mr. Vipin Kumar Garg, Deputy General Manager (Compliance and Assurance); Mr. Sharad Kumar Panigrahi, Deputy General Manager (Business Development); Mr. R.P. Meena, Deputy General Manager (Regional Head), Bhopal; Mr. Ashish Singh Chauhan, Assistant General Manager (Sub-Regional Head); and Mr. Vikrant Singh Tanwar, Assistant General Manager of Bank of Baroda, Bhopal Zonal Office, along with the staff members from the bank’s zonal, regional, and branch offices.
