CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In accordance with the terms outlined in the revised salary agreement memorandum between Madhya Pradesh Police and Bank of Baroda, Bhopal Zone, for the year 2024, a program was held on September 4, 2024, in the meeting room of the Police Control Room at the SP Office, Satna. During the event, in the presence of Bank of Baroda’s General Manager (Zonal Head) Sanjeev Menon and IPS officer Ashutosh Gupta, SP of Satna, a cheque of ₹75 lakh was presented to Jyoti Mishra, the wife of late Madhya Pradesh Police officer Kranti Kumar Mishra (nominee of the insurance policy) as part of the accidental insurance claim. Additionally, a life insurance claim of ₹7.50 lakh had already been provided following the accident, bringing the total insurance amount provided by the bank to ₹82.50 lakh for the late police officer Kranti Kumar Mishra.

Also present at the event were Deputy General Manager (Business Development) Sarat Panigrahi from Bank of Baroda’s Zonal Office, Bhopal, Jabalpur Regional Head Rajesh Tiwari, and RI Satna, Ms. Baghel. SP Ashutosh Gupta appreciated the police salary package and thanked Bank of Baroda for the prompt claim settlement. Gupta also offered condolences to the family of late Kranti Kumar Mishra and assured them that both the bank and the police department would always be there for them.

Zonal Head Sanjeev Menon assured the police department that Bank of Baroda would work with the police on future social welfare initiatives. Deputy General Manager Panigrahi also mentioned that in a similar case, a demand draft of ₹75 lakh had been provided to Mrs. Shakuntala Kaushal, the wife of late police officer Ram Prasad from the Gwalior region.
