CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Barkatullah University, Bhopal, will hold its convocation ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre (Minto Hall), Bhopal.

The ceremony will be presided over by Madhya Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Mangu Bhai Patel. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will be the chief guest, while Inder Singh Parmar, Minister for Higher Education, Technical Education and Ayush, will attend as the special guest.

K. Rangarajan, Vice-Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, will attend as the keynote speaker and deliver the convocation address. Barkatullah University Vice-Chancellor and Madhya Pradesh government’s Higher Education Department Additional Chief Secretary Anupam Rajan will deliver the convocation exhortation.

Degrees and gold medals will be presented to research scholars and merit students from various courses of the university. This year, 96 registrations have been received from merit students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while 85 registrations have been received for Ph.D. degrees.

A total of 27 gold medals will be awarded at the ceremony, including five sponsored gold medals. Three gold medals will be presented by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation. One gold medal is being presented by Dilip Suryavanshi in memory and honour of his father. Another gold medal will be presented by Prof. Mona Purohit, Head of Department, in memory of her late husband K.K. Shukla.

Family members of the students and research scholars receiving degrees and gold medals, along with university teachers, officers and employees, will also be present at the dignified convocation ceremony.
