CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day of the nation, the National Flag was hoisted at Barkatullah University campus by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor S.K. Jain. Present on the occasion were all teachers, officers, staff, and students from various departments of the university.
After the flag hoisting, the Vice-Chancellor conveyed his greetings to everyone present and appealed to them to contribute their invaluable efforts towards the progress of the university. Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is through the collective efforts and hard work of all that Barkatullah University has been awarded an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

He added that with continued cooperation, the university is steadily moving on the path of progress and the day is not far when it will achieve an A++ Grade. For this, everyone must work harder and contribute further. He informed that research and construction works are ongoing with the ₹100 crore funding received under PM-USHA (Prime Minister’s Higher Education Scheme), and efforts will be made to ensure Barkatullah University secures a place among the top 100 universities of the country.

On this occasion, he also sang a few patriotic songs. In addition, students presented songs and poetry recitations based on the theme of patriotism. Thereafter, the Vice-Chancellor took the salute from the security guards and interacted personally with employees, officers, teachers, and students, shaking hands with them.
