CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The inter-district, university-level youth festival began at Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
In this youth festival, participants from eight districts affiliated with Barkatullah University will take part in 22 different categories, including solo singing, group singing, solo dance, group dance, one-act play, instrumental music, clay modeling, collage, quiz, debate, extempore, poster making, rangoli, cartooning, and more.

At the inauguration, the procession was flagged off by Acting Vice-Chancellor Vivek Sharma, Professor Pawan Mishra (Proctor and Dean, Student Welfare). The chief guest of the program was Professor Dev Anand Hindolia, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University. The event was presided over by the Acting Vice-Chancellor. Acting Registrar of the University Sunil Nayak and Cultural Coordinator Professor Anusuja Tiwari were also present.

Competitions such as solo and group dance, skit, mime, debate, quiz, painting, clay modeling, and collage were organized.
Seven performances took place in the group competitions, showcasing Bundelkhand’s famous “Badhai” dance and “Rai” dance. Rajasthan’s traditional Matki dance and the Gond tribal “Baredi” dance were also performed with grandeur by the participants.

This three-day event is being held under the banner and supervision of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Participants selected here will further compete in the inter-university youth festival to be held at Vikram University, Ujjain.
