CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The three-day national-level workshop “Emerging Technology and Innovation” at BUIT concluded with a grand closing session. Before the session, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, a subject expert from the international firm Deloitte Hyderabad, conducted an interactive session. Additionally, AMPRI scientist H.N. Bhargava delivered an excellent lecture on complex topics like innovation and startups, which greatly inspired and benefited the students.

In the closing session, Sudha Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Chhatrasal University, Chhatarpur, graced the event as the chief guest. The Vice-Chancellor of BU, Dr. S.K. Jain, and BUIT Director Neeraj Gaur were also present, boosting the morale of the participants.

It is noteworthy that the workshop saw participation from students of Kochi, VIT Vellore, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and prominent Bhopal-based colleges such as Oriental, TIT, IES, SIRT, and SISTec, with around 320 registrations. In the robotics segment, 25 teams with 85 students participated enthusiastically. A total of 15 research papers were presented, and 84 students showcased their creativity and innovation through a poster-making competition.

Program Coordinator and Head of Department Poonam Sinha shared that winning students were awarded during the closing session. In the robotics competition, the GTX_Bot team secured first place, the Tech Titan team second place, and the Deepesh Garg team third place, while Robo Group-3 received an encouragement award.

In paper presentations, Ankita and Sakshi (UIT, BU) won first prize, Tanish Karwakar (UIT, RGPV) won second prize, and Akshar Jain and Prakhar Pandole (UIT, BU) won third prize. Chirag and Rajneesh (RNTU) received an encouragement award.

 

In the in-house poster-making event, Tarun Kushwaha secured first place, Shubham Dwivedi second place, and Ankit Rathore third place. The grand event of research and innovation concluded with blessings and closing remarks from the Vice-Chancellor.
