CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The second day of the ongoing three-day national-level workshop “Emerging Technology and Innovation” at BUIT was dedicated to a unique and thrilling robotics competition.
The event was inaugurated by BU Vice-Chancellor S.K. Jain, the Honorable Justice Ved Prakash Sharma from the High Court as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor Additional DGP Pawan Srivastava, BU Registrar I.K. Mansuri, and BUIT Director Neeraj Gaur, along with other senior officials.
BUIT Director Neeraj Gaur mentioned that students were highly enthusiastic about participating in the robotics competition. Around 25 teams, comprising 85 students, from colleges like IES and SISTec Bhopal, as well as institutions such as Kochi and VIT Vellore, participated with great zeal. The workshop saw over 300 student registrations, with the excitement among the audience reaching its peak during the competition.
Program Coordinator and Department Head Poonam Sinha shared that, apart from the robotics competition, students benefited from insightful lectures on complex topics like innovation and startups, delivered by Varun Bajaj from MANIT and Anjali Potnis from NITTTR. Additionally, 15 research papers were presented during the day.
The university campus was vibrant with research and innovation activities, marking the day as a celebration of technological exploration and creativity.
