CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Gracy Pawar and Karuna, students of Environmental Science at Barkatullah University, Bhopal, represented Madhya Pradesh at the 3-day National Youth Biodiversity Conference, organized by the Telangana Biodiversity Board.

Out of 650 entries from various states and Union Territories across India, 70 young participants were selected for this prestigious conference. The students from Madhya Pradesh beautifully portrayed the tribal community of the state, a presentation that was highly appreciated by Program Officer Secretary General Kalicharan and the Honorable Governor.

During the three-day conference, experts provided valuable insights into biodiversity, and several activities were conducted. Among these, Karuna won first prize in the Biodiversity Conservation Skit competition. The participants also collaborated to draft the “Hyderabad Declaration”, which was signed by all representatives and later presented to the Honorable Governor.

The closing ceremony of this national seminar on biodiversity was graced by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma as the Chief Guest. Gracy Pawar from Barkatullah University’s Department of Environmental and Lake Sciences had the honor of welcoming the Governor. He distributed awards to all representatives and praised their contributions to biodiversity conservation.

The students were guided and mentored by Dr. Abhilasha Bhavsar, Head of the Environmental and Lake Sciences Department at Barkatullah University, throughout their participation in this conference.
