CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The three-day inter-district level Youth Festival concluded successfully at Barkatullah University, showcasing remarkable talent and enthusiasm from participants. The closing ceremony featured Vice-Chancellor S.K. Jain as the chief guest. The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a rendition of Saraswati Vandana, followed by an award distribution ceremony recognizing winners across 22 categories, including solo and group dance, mimicry, skits, mime, classical and western singing, instrumental music (percussion and non-percussion), and others.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor S.K. Jain emphasized the importance of perseverance in achieving one’s dreams. He highlighted how platforms like this festival provide youth with opportunities to hone their skills, boost their confidence, and blend tradition with modernity.
Highlights of the Event
The festival saw participation from 417 students across eight districts. Over three days, students displayed their talents in various cultural and artistic domains. Vice-Chancellor S.K. Jain, during the closing ceremony, applauded the winners and encouraged all participants to keep striving toward their goals. He stressed the importance of participating in competitions alongside academic pursuits to ensure holistic development.
Registrar I.K. Mansuri expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and acknowledged the efforts of Prof. Pawan Mishra, Dean of Student Welfare and Program Coordinator, Prof. Anshuja Tiwari, the event director, along with faculty members, cultural coordinators, and media personnel who contributed to the festival’s success.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Vivek Sharma, Prof. Ragini Gothwal, and Prof. Amarjit Khalsa, along with department heads, faculty members, coordinators, and managers from various districts. Students from Harda, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Betul, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Raisen, and Sehore participated actively.
