CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A review meeting was held at the Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma. Chief Executive Officer Shyam Bir Singh and other senior authority officials were present at the meeting. The status of the authority’s ongoing schemes, construction works and upcoming development projects was discussed in detail.
The meeting reviewed the progress on important points discussed in the previous board meeting, along with various development projects and schemes, including Education Knowledge and AI City, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Yojana, Misrod, PSP plots and BMR-related matters. Necessary directions were issued. The authority’s properties available for sale and the future action plan for various projects were also discussed. The Divisional Commissioner gave necessary guidance on taking forward the authority’s ongoing development works in a time-bound and effective manner, speeding up project progress and ensuring effective implementation of important decisions. Concerned BDA officers and employees were present at the meeting.
During the review, officials were asked about the current progress of various projects, pending works and the timeline for their completion. Officials were directed to ensure that development works are completed within the stipulated timeframe and with quality. Regarding delays in construction works, the concerned officials were instructed to ensure regular monitoring.
Special emphasis was laid on giving priority to the quality of works. Officials were directed to conduct regular inspections of construction works and ensure quality in line with prescribed standards. Instructions were also given to fix responsibility so that there is no negligence in the implementation of schemes. Issues related to public convenience were discussed in detail at the meeting. Emphasis was placed on prioritising the development of essential basic facilities and infrastructure, including roads, water, sewerage and lighting arrangements, under various authority schemes. Long-pending works were also reviewed and instructions were issued to complete them at the earliest. Officials were asked to prepare action plans for upcoming development projects and ensure time-bound implementation so that the public can receive the benefits of the authority’s schemes on time.
