CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The three-day “Ayurveda Festival and National Symposium” was successfully organized at Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurveda College. Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH, highlighted Ayurveda as an integral part of India’s knowledge tradition and emphasized its global significance. He stated that the Government of India is committed to elevating Ayurveda to the highest level, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayurveda is gaining a new identity.

Minister Parmar explained that Ayurveda, one of the oldest medical systems, not only treats diseases but also paves the way for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. He stressed the importance of Ayurvedic research, documentation, and preservation of traditional knowledge. On this occasion, he announced the establishment of 11 new Ayurveda colleges in the state, of which 5 will become operational from the next academic session.

Key Highlights of the Event

The three-day event featured an Ayurvedic science exhibition, medicinal stalls, free health camps, and the presentation of over 200 research papers. Experts shared their views on topics such as the integration of science with Ayurveda, Ayurveda-based treatments for chronic illnesses, and the use of digital technologies.

Reputed companies like Dhootapapeshwar, Dabur, Baidyanath, and Nagarjuna participated in the Ayurvedic product exhibition. More than 70 stalls showcased Ayurvedic Panchakarma equipment and medicines.

Experts noted that Ayurvedic medicines not only cure diseases but also help maintain physical and mental balance. They emphasized the growing importance of Ayurveda in modern medical science.

Honors and Closing Ceremony

At the closing ceremony, pharmaceutical companies and participants were presented with mementos. Local MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani appreciated the symposium, stating that such efforts would give Ayurveda a new identity on the global stage.

This event marked a significant step toward promoting Ayurveda on a scientific basis and integrating it as a key component of the global medical system.
