CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Health Department promptly responded to reports of food poisoning at the Anganwadi center in Izgiri village, Gunga region, Berasia block. Following reports of children falling ill after allegedly consuming contaminated food, CMHO Bhopal immediately dispatched four 108 Ambulance vehicles from Bhopal and instructed local authorities to arrange health checkups and treatment. Additionally, an ambulance from Civil Hospital Berasia was sent to the location.
The Sub-Divisional Officer of Berasia, health department teams, Tehsildar, and officials from the Women and Child Development Department ensured the necessary arrangements were in place at the village throughout the day. A team of doctors led by the Chief Block Medical Officer of Berasia conducted health checkups for 62 children. Six children were admitted to Civil Hospital Berasia for treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable. One child was referred to Hamidia Hospital. The affected children are aged between 3 and 5 years.
