CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The CMHO team conducted surprise inspections at various sonography centers operating in Berasia. During the inspection, permissions and documents mandated under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act were thoroughly examined.
The PCPNDT team constituted by the CMHO Bhopal inspected Government Civil Hospital Berasia, Berasia General Hospital, Om Diagnostic Center, New Berasia General Hospital, and Mahakal Sonography Center. The inspection included verification of Form F, ANC registers, doctors’ attendance, availability of the PCPNDT Act handbook, compliance with guidelines, display of rate lists, and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials.
During the inspection, the team instructed all centers to ensure continuous compliance with the provisions of the Act. The CMHO Bhopal and the Appropriate Authority under the PCPNDT Act stated that such inspections are conducted regularly to ensure adherence to the law.
Additionally, the hospital management of Civil Hospital Berasia was directed to prominently display information regarding the availability of free sonography services at key locations within the hospital.
