CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the National Livestock Mission’s Entrepreneurship Development Program, the Government of India awarded Madhya Pradesh’s Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy as the “Best Performing State” for its outstanding work. Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy (Independent Charge) Mr. Lakhan Patel congratulated all stakeholders for this achievement and expressed hope that Madhya Pradesh will continue to lead in implementing schemes in the future.

The Union Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Rajeev Ranjan Singh, presented the award to the Madhya Pradesh team at a one-day Entrepreneurship Development Conclave held in Pune, Maharashtra. The state’s nodal officer for the scheme, Mr. Bhagwan Madnani, along with Shivdatt Srivastava and Prakhar Bhargava, Deputy Directors, received the award. Union Secretary for Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Alka Upadhyay, Livestock Commissioner Abhijeet Mishra, and Director of Animal Husbandry and Dairy, P.S. Patel, also congratulated the state officials on this accomplishment.

As part of the Entrepreneurship Development Program under the National Livestock Mission, over 4,800 online applications have been received in Madhya Pradesh. Out of these, loans amounting to ₹387.23 crore have been sanctioned by banks for 530 cases, and ₹155.36 crore has been approved by the Central Government for 450 cases. Among the sanctioned cases, approximately 250 entrepreneurs have received their first installment, and 32 entrepreneurs have received the second installment of grant funds, which is the highest at the national level.

Outstanding Entrepreneurs Honored:

At the conclave, outstanding entrepreneurial units under the National Livestock Mission – Entrepreneurship Development Program and the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund were also honored for their exceptional contributions.

From Madhya Pradesh:

For Fodder Production: Jeet Singh Sisodia (Bhopal) and Navneet Jain (Harda).

For Goat Farming: Shobha Dangi (Rajgarh) and Nimish Chawda (Shajapur).

For Poultry Farming: Yashpal Khanna (Katni).

Under the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund:

For Animal Feed: Abis Export India Pvt. Ltd., located in Badnawar Tehsil, Dhar district.

For Dairy Processing and Value Addition: Bakerville Specialties Pvt. Ltd., located in Sanwer Tehsil, Indore district.

Both units were inaugurated online by Union Minister Rajeev Ranjan Singh from the event venue.
