CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A Drug De-addiction and Traffic Awareness Program was organized in the auditorium of Bhabha University in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, faculty members, students from all departments, and teaching staff. The program was conducted by the Bhopal Traffic Police, focusing on the impact of substance abuse on road accidents and the importance of building a drug-free society.
Special attention was given to Bhabha University’s gardeners, laborers, workshop staff, bus drivers, and students, urging them to stay away from drugs. They were offered guidance on the consequences of addiction, trained on its dangers, and reminded how precious human life is. Speakers highlighted how the untimely death of an individual due to substance abuse or traffic accidents can plunge an entire family into financial and emotional crisis.

The program was part of a national-level anti-drug initiative.
The chief guests of the event included Subedar Mahesh Jagdev, Head Constable Girish Saraswat, Constable Devendra Lodhi from the Traffic Department, and Sheetal from Uday Sanstha. Representing Bhabha University were Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. N.K. Agrawal, Registrar Shyam Patkar, and Chief Administrative Officer Vijay Punj.
At the end of the program, all chief guests and traffic police officials were honored with potted plants and certificates of appreciation. They were encouraged to plant these saplings near their homes or offices as a symbol of commitment not only to greenery but also to the cause of saving lives through responsible traffic behavior and drug-free living.
