The flag hoisting was performed by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dilip Kumar Day, who in his speech said that “once again, we stand under the shadow of the Tricolor. The waving Tricolor in the air reminds us not only of our freedom but also of the millions of sacrifices made by those who gave their lives for this land.”
Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. N.K. Agrawal stated that the open sky we breathe under today is made possible by the blood of countless martyrs, the tears of mothers, and the sacrifices of millions of Indians. He added that August 15 is not just a holiday; it is a mirror that reflects whether we are truly worthy of this freedom. The sacrifices of the past must always be remembered.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Bharti said, “Imagine, when Bhagat Singh embraced his friends before the hanging, what fear could have been in his heart? There was no fear… only a strange smile and a dream for the nation in his heart.”
CEO Prasad Pillai said that we will embody patriotism not just in words but in our actions and behavior. He emphasized that today we have strength, technology, and a recognized place in the world.
Dr. Shyam Patkar, University Secretary, highlighted the university’s achievements, including examination results, placements, student selections in various fields, faculty awards, patents, publications, and upcoming university activities.
Students delivered vibrant patriotic songs and performances. All students from high-performing faculties were honored with trophies. The event was conducted by Dr. Siddharth Saurav and Ms. Kajal. Additionally, the students of Bhabha University presented colorful performances that captivated the entire audience.
