CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bhabha University, Bhopal. On the occasion, students, teachers and officials took part in a collective yoga session and pledged to build a “healthy body, healthy society.”

The programme was guided by the university’s respected Yogacharya, Ritesh Agrawal. Under his leadership, a yoga training session was held in which participants were taught pranayama, Surya Namaskar and meditation techniques.

On the occasion, Yogacharya Agrawal said, “India has the youngest population in the world. Yoga is absolutely essential to keep a young nation youthful. If we want to build a developed India, then every student and every teacher will have to make yoga a part of their daily routine. Yoga is not just exercise, it is the art of living.”

Main highlights of the programme:

1. Collective yoga practice: Students and teachers from all departments gathered together on the ground.

2. Message: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” — from a healthy society to a developed India.

3. Pledge: All participants vowed to practise yoga for 15 minutes every day.

4. New initiative by Bhabha University: Along with yoga, the message of “digital detox for one hour” was also given.

The university administration announced that “Time for Yoga” will now be mandatory every Saturday so that every young person at Bhabha becomes physically and mentally stronger.
