CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: South-West Assembly constituency MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani on Sunday planted saplings with local residents in New Radio Colony near Bharat Mata Chowraha on the occasion of Environment Day and to mark the successful 12 years of the Modi government.

Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, 100 saplings were planted in the colony garden and other locations. BJP workers were present along with colony members during the plantation drive.

Addressing the public, MLA Sabnani said planting trees is the moral responsibility of all, and everyone should plant as many saplings as possible during this rainy season and take care of them. He said each member should take responsibility for one sapling and nurture it until it grows.

He said everyone knows the importance of plants, and residents across the Assembly constituency should carry out maximum plantation so that future generations can be given a beautiful and clean environment.

Sabnani also presented dhol, manjira, jhanjhar and other bhajan materials to the women’s bhajan mandali of two temples located in the colony.

The plantation programme was organized by Krishna Kumar Singh. District vice-president Rajkumar Vishwakarma, mandal president Paras Narwariya, general secretary Sandeep Tomar, Shailendra Tiwari, Manju Sarathe, Jatin Bharti, Kishore Parihar, Rekha and other colony residents were present on the occasion.
