CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal successfully organized the inauguration and demonstration of ‘BHISHM Cubes’ with the aim of strengthening national health emergency preparedness. The event was conducted by the Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Dr. Ajai Singh.

BHISHM Cubes (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog, Hit, and Maitri) is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Defence, developed with support from HLL Lifecare Limited. It is a mobile modular hospital system that can be rapidly deployed at disaster sites to provide effective medical care during the ‘golden hour’.
Chief Guest Dr. Ajai Singh and Special Guests Tarun Rathi (Health Commissioner), Prabhakar Tiwari (Joint Director, NHM), and Sudhir Dwivedi (Deputy Director, Disaster Management Institute) were present at the event. Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Tanmay Roy and his team conducted a live demonstration of the capabilities of BHISHM Cubes.

A live demo of the mobile app ‘Code Emergency’ was also presented, which makes life-saving techniques like CPR easily accessible to the public. Prof. Singh emphasized the importance of mock drills by stating, “Our preparedness is our greatest strength.”
