CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, a cleanliness campaign was conducted to maintain the campus. Unnecessary grass and shrubs were cleared, and various types of plastic and other waste were removed to make the campus clean. In line with the intentions of the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, this campaign was organized under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Har Ghar Swachhta” initiatives. Students, staff, and officials actively participated in the campaign and also took a cleanliness pledge.

Earlier, as per the directives of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, an awareness program was organized at the university under the Drug-Free India Campaign to educate the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse and methods of prevention. During the program, Director Ratan Suryavanshi explained in detail to the students, staff, faculty, and officials about the adverse effects of drugs and ways to prevent addiction.

Professor of Practice B.B. Sharma and Director L.P. Jharia also shared their insights on the consequences of substance abuse and its prevention. The program was chaired by Registrar Sushil Manderia of Bhoj Open University, who administered a drug-free pledge to all attending students, staff, faculty, and officials. Additionally, participants watched the live broadcast of the Drug-Free India Campaign, organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, as part of the university’s awareness activities.’
