CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, Mahamandaleshwar 1008 Sadhvi Sanjana Sakhi attended a meeting held at the university campus to discuss the provision of free education for the transgender community.
On behalf of the university, the Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Vibha Mishra, and Deputy Director, Anita Kaushal, welcomed Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Sadhvi Sanjana Sakhi with a shawl and a coconut. Additionally, the university’s Director, L.P. Jhariya, presented her with a Tulsi plant as a token of appreciation. The event was attended by Assistant Registrar Nitin Sangle, along with directors and officials from various departments of the university.
During the occasion, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell provided Sadhvi Sakhi with detailed information about the various undergraduate, postgraduate, degree, diploma, PG diploma, and certificate courses offered by the university. Dr. Vibha Mishra stated that admission to all courses for the transgender community is entirely free.
Sadhvi Sanjana Sakhi expressed that the transgender community has faced social rejection for years. If education can bring them respect in society, it would be a great privilege for the community. She appreciated the initiative taken by Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University and assured that she would encourage members of the transgender community to pursue education from the university.
On behalf of the university, she was presented with course details, the university brochure, and an admission brochure.
