CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, has fully approved the proposal submitted by Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, Bhopal, recognizing it as a dual institution for assessment and degree awarding. The proposal has been recommended for the issuance of a Letter of Intent (LOI) for provisional recognition in the sub-committee meeting.

Vice-Chancellor Sanjay Tiwari stated that NCVET has granted MPBOU initial approval to assess and award degrees under vocational and skill development programs in areas such as IT-ITES (Green Technology Architect), education, training, and research (Learning Management Systems), environmental science, water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation activities. MPBOU is also running AICTE and UGC-DEB-approved skill programs in AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, FinTech, and STEM-based MBA courses.

The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) is an important body under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Its purpose is to set and enforce standards in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET). NCVET aims to ensure quality, consistency, and sustainability in the vocational education sector in India, enabling youth to become employable and skill-equipped. Additionally, it certifies skill development programs and monitors institutions related to vocational education.
