CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: Acting on the directions of Collector Priyank Mishra, a joint team of the Revenue Department and police, led by Huzur Tehsil SDM Vinod Sonkiya, carried out action in rural areas in compliance with the issued instructions.

In village Kolukhedi under Huzur tehsil, action was taken to remove alleged illegal encroachment from land bearing Khasra Nos. 170, 171 and 174, with a total area of 1.330 hectares (3.29 acres) and an estimated value of Rs 9.31 crore. The land is recorded in the names of land owners Mohammad Farukh, Rahul Mahawar and others (authorised by Riyan Golden). Action was also taken on government land bearing Khasra No. 204, area 0.820 hectare, with a market value of Rs 82 lakh, allegedly under the possession of Shaukeen Ali, son of Inayat Ali.

Similarly, in village Mirpur, action was taken against an alleged illegal colony on Khasra No. 2/1, area 1.198 hectares, and Khasra No. 28/1/2/1/1/1, area 1.8137 hectares, with a market value of Rs 30 crore, linked to Pragati Agrawal, son of Dineshchand Agrawal. Action was also taken against an alleged illegal colony being carved out by Meenesh Enterprises on Khasra No. 253/1/1/1/2, area 0.5111 hectare; 257/1, area 1.083 hectare; 257/2, area 0.8070 hectare; 258, area 0.8700 hectare; 268/1/1/2, area 0.2900 hectare; 268/1/2, area 0.8093 hectare; 268/2/2, area 0.8750 hectare; 273, area 0.7900 hectare; 281/1, area 0.1700 hectare; 281/2/1, area 0.2150 hectare; 281/2/2, area 0.4050 hectare; 282/2/1, area 0.4050 hectare; 282/2/2, area 0.4050 hectare; 283/1, area 0.3200 hectare; 283/2, area 0.8100 hectare; and 285/1/1, area 0.5900 hectare, with a total area of 9.3554 hectares and a market value of Rs 93.55 crore.

According to Collector Mishra’s directions, action against encroachments on government land and illegal colonies will continue. He has directed the concerned officials to ensure regular monitoring of illegal colonies and to take swift and effective action in encroachment cases so that government properties can be protected.
