CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal Divisional Railway Manager Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Bhopal-Bina Rail Section
Devashish Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Bhopal Division, West Central Railway, conducted a thorough inspection of the Bhopal-Bina rail section. The primary objective of the inspection was to examine safety standards, review railway infrastructure, and ensure the quality of passenger amenities.
The DRM closely inspected the progress of Railway Overbridge (ROB) construction at various level crossings. He issued specific instructions regarding the pace of construction during his in-depth review of the ROB works.
During the inspection, the DRM carried out on-ground reviews of ongoing ROB construction at the following locations:
Level Crossing No. 262 between Diwanganj–Salamatpur
Level Crossing No. 291 between Ganj Basoda–Bareth
Level Crossing No. 300 on Mandi Bamora Road
Level Crossing No. 302 between Mandi Bamora–Kurwai Kaithora
He also interacted with the gatemen at these level crossings and instructed them on adherence to safety protocols.
At the work sites, the DRM instructed officials to complete ROB constructions within the stipulated timeline while maintaining high quality. He emphasized that no unnecessary delays will be tolerated as these works are essential for the safety and convenience of both passengers and motorists.
In Mandi Bamora, Mr. Tripathi interacted with Trackmen from Gang No. 29 to understand ground-level challenges and boosted their morale.
Bina Station Inspection – Review of Redevelopment Works
Upon reaching Bina station, DRM Tripathi assessed the progress of redevelopment works. He inspected passenger amenities, cleanliness, platform upgrades, foot overbridges, lifts, escalators, and other facilities, and instructed officials to pay special attention to quality and deadlines.
Crew Lobby & Running Room Inspection – Interaction with Loco Pilots
The DRM inspected Bina’s Crew Lobby and held discussions with loco pilots and assistant loco pilots on operational issues. He gathered feedback on SPAD prevention, rest periods, duty schedules, and food quality. In the Running Room, he conducted a thorough check of food, rest facilities, and hygiene standards.
Footplate Inspection from Bina to Bhopal
In the final leg of the inspection, Mr. Tripathi undertook a footplate inspection aboard train no. 18238 Chhattisgarh Express from Bina to Bhopal. During the journey, he reviewed track structure, bridges, signaling systems, and safety arrangements.
He was accompanied by key officials including:
