CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Blood donation camps were organised in the capital Bhopal under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ launched in the state on the auspicious occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The camps organised in Bhopal district under the campaign were formally inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who visited Jayprakash (JP) Hospital. Chief Minister Yadav inspected the camp, encouraged the blood donors and praised this noble act of service to humanity.
A total of 708 units of blood were collected at 29 centres. Inspired by the spirit of ‘Seva Hi Sankalp’, extensive arrangements were made in urban and rural areas of Bhopal district. A total of 29 blood donation centres were set up across the district, where unprecedented enthusiasm for blood donation was seen among citizens from the morning. Under the skilled guidance and authentic support of the Health Department, a total of 708 units of life-saving blood were voluntarily collected across the district at these camps. Young people, women, social workers and public representatives participated enthusiastically in the camps.
All donors who donated blood were honoured with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their selfless service and outstanding humanitarian contribution. On the occasion, the message was conveyed that blood donation is a great donation that can give a new lease of life to a helpless and needy patient. Through this month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a strong effort is being made in Bhopal district to connect every section of society with selfless service, mutual cooperation and human sensitivity.
