CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special celebration was organized at the Mata Mandir headquarters of the Municipal Corporation to mark Bhopal securing the second position nationwide in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 rankings.
Municipal Corporation Chairperson Kishan Suryavanshi distributed sweets among employees and officials, congratulating them on the achievement and appreciating their contributions.
The atmosphere at the Municipal Corporation premises was filled with joy on this occasion.
Chairperson Suryavanshi said,
“This honor is not just for the Municipal Corporation but is a result of the participation and awareness of every citizen of Bhopal. Every sanitation worker, officer, and resident fulfilled their responsibilities — that’s how we reached this milestone.”
Sanitation workers associated with the cleanliness campaign were specially honored and welcomed with flowers during the event.
In his address, the Chairperson also praised the Swachh Bharat Mission initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the campaign has significantly boosted public participation in cleanliness efforts.
Other municipal officials, councilors, and city residents were also present at the event.
The program concluded with sweets distributed collectively, and everyone agreed that this achievement marks an important step toward a cleaner and brighter future for Bhopal.
