CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: In a significant step towards the effective implementation of the e-Office project in Bhopal district, and in compliance with the instructions of the General Administration Department of the Madhya Pradesh government, a Central Registration Unit (CRU), or centralized mail unit, has been set up at the Bhopal Collector Office.

The arrangement is expected to play an important role in realizing the government’s paperless office concept in the district and making administrative work more transparent, faster and easier.

In compliance with the instructions issued under General Administration Department letter No. GAD/55/01/0002/2024-GAD-9-01, the e-Office working system has been implemented in all departments of the district. Under this, all district department heads, revenue section officers, tehsildars and Chief Executive Officers of Janpad Panchayats, along with various other departments, have been onboarded onto the e-Office project.

For the smooth operation of the e-Office system, the email address of the CRU set up at the Bhopal Collector Office has been designated as cru-dmbhopal@eauth.in. All official letters and documents to be sent to the Bhopal Collector Office will now be received through this digital medium.

A detailed training programme was also organized for the effective operation of the e-Office portal and the CRU system. During the training, e-Office project experts, the Senior Technical Director of the National Informatics Centre, and the District Informatics Officer provided officials and employees with detailed information on the technical and administrative aspects of e-Office.

Officials and employees from various district departments attended the training programme. Officials said that the e-Office system would speed up file disposal, increase transparency, reduce paper usage and also promote environmental protection.
