CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A review meeting on the work of various departments was held on Friday in the Collectorate meeting hall at Raisen under the chairmanship of Bhopal Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma. Reviewing the progress of department-wise schemes and works, Divisional Commissioner Sharma told district officers that ensuring the benefits of public welfare schemes and delivery of services to citizens within the stipulated time and with transparency is a priority of the government. He said all officers should work with firm commitment for this. He said citizens’ problems should be resolved promptly, keeping rules in mind and with sensitivity and a practical approach. Collector Arun Kumar Vishwakarma apprised the Divisional Commissioner of the progress of government schemes and works in the district.
During the review of the Revenue Department, Divisional Commissioner Sharma reviewed tehsil-wise disposal of revenue cases such as mutation, demarcation and partition, and directed revenue officers to dispose of cases before the deadline. He issued clear instructions that it must be ensured that not a single case goes beyond the time limit. Similarly, while reviewing cases under the Public Service Guarantee Act, he directed that they be disposed of within the stipulated time. Reviewing CM Helpline cases, instructions were given to conduct a special campaign for resolving complaints pending for more than 50 days.
During the review of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, it was informed that under the Mukhyamantri Vrindavan Gram Yojana, five-year action plans for four selected villages in the district have been prepared at the Janpad level. Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Divisional Commissioner Sharma directed that construction of houses be completed quickly and said it should be ensured that instalments are paid to beneficiaries on time and that the amount is used only for house construction. He also reviewed the timely completion of Samagra seeding work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the progress of implementation of government schemes in gram panchayats identified under the Janman Yojana and Dharti Aaba Yojana, Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam, construction of roads and culverts in rural areas under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and the progress of construction of new panchayat buildings, and directed that the works be completed with quality.
Divisional Commissioner Sharma directed officials of the PHE Department to ensure that villagers get clean drinking water through taps. He said diseases often spread during the rains due to contamination of drinking water. To prevent this, he directed that water samples from hand pumps, wells and other water sources be taken from time to time and tested. He sought information from the CMHO on the availability of medicines for prevention of contaminated water-borne diseases and directed that adequate availability be ensured at all health centres and hospitals. Instructions in this regard were also issued to urban bodies.
During the review of the Agriculture Department, Divisional Commissioner Sharma took information on moong procurement and said there should be better arrangements at the centres and procurement should be carried out only as per government instructions. Instructions were also given to ensure safe storage of procured produce on time. He also took information on sowing of kharif crops in the district, availability and distribution of fertiliser, and custom hiring centres operating in the district. During the review of the Women and Child Development Department, he took information on efforts being made to bring severely malnourished and malnourished children out of those categories, and on implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Similarly, while reviewing the Health Department, he took information on health services and availability of medicines at health centres, ANC registration, regular health check-ups of high-risk pregnant women, vaccination, the TB Mukt Bharat campaign and the Nikshay Mitra campaign, and issued directions.
In the meeting, during the review of the Animal Husbandry Department, Divisional Commissioner Sharma asked that departmental schemes be implemented effectively to increase milk production in the district. He took information on children admitted to Class 1 this year and directed that all children be admitted, textbooks be distributed to 100 percent children, and took information on the progress of mentor visits under Mission Ankur. During the review of the Transport Department, he directed the District Transport Officer to periodically check the fitness of school buses and the availability of medical kits. Similarly, the Fisheries Department, District Trade and Industries Centre, Food and Civil Supplies, Forest Department, Transport Department, Water Resources Department and other departments were reviewed and directions were issued.
DFO Raisen Pratibha Shukla, DFO Obedullaganj Hemant Raykwar, Additional Collector Manoj Upadhyay and district officers were present in the meeting. All SDMs and other officers from the subdivisions attended the meeting through video conference.
