CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: MSME and Bhopal’s In-Charge Minister Chetanya Kumar Kashyap today directed officials to coordinate with public representatives of Bhopal and conduct detailed discussions before drafting a new integrated and comprehensive traffic policy/plan for the city.
He emphasized that the current status and actual progress of the ongoing metro project in Bhopal should also be a key point in these discussions. He stated that the metro project plays a significant role in the development of Bhopal district, and any kind of negligence at any level will not be tolerated.
Minister Kashyap was addressing a meeting today at the Palika Bhavan, Directorate of Urban Development, regarding the formation of a new policy for integrated traffic management in Bhopal.
He issued clear instructions to officials to ensure coordination with public representatives for the successful and timely execution of the Bhopal Metro Project. He reiterated the importance of the metro in Bhopal’s overall development and insisted on zero tolerance toward negligence.
The Minister also instructed officials to ensure continuous monitoring of metro-related works and to complete tasks within the stipulated deadlines. He stressed identifying and bridging the existing gaps in the project in accordance with Bhopal’s demographic structure. He directed that coordination be established with all regional public representatives and a review of the project progress be conducted within the next 15 days.
Minister Kashyap urged officials to consider the metro project a top development priority for Bhopal and to work with complete commitment.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Rameshwar Sharma, Bhagwandas Sabnani, Arif Masood, Mayor Malti Rai, Urban Administration and Development Commissioner C.B. Chakravarthy M, MP Government Secretary Manish Singh, Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, and Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan along with a large number of officials.
