CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal district was honored for outstanding performance in the State-Level Mobile Academy and Kilkari Program workshop. The award was presented by Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla. During the workshop, the Deputy Chief Minister also felicitated ASHA workers and encouraged them to take full responsibility for healthcare services in their respective villages and areas.

Bhopal district received this award for achieving 100% completion of the Mobile Academy course by ASHA workers. On behalf of the district, District Community Mobilizer Nilesh Lagarakha received the award. The Mobile Academy and Kilkari programs were launched in 2016. The Mobile Academy is a remote training program for ASHA workers, comprising a 240-minute audio course, 11 chapters, and 44 lessons. This program strengthens ASHA workers’ knowledge, communication skills, and confidence. The service is accessible anytime, anywhere through the 14424 helpline number.

The Kilkari program is designed to provide timely and essential information to pregnant women and mothers of newborns. Under this program, beneficiaries receive 72 pre-recorded audio messages based on the stage of their pregnancy or the age of their child. These messages are delivered in simple language for easy understanding. The service is free of cost and easily accessible on mobile phones.
