CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India ePress / ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Bhopal Division organised various programmes with the objective of environmental protection and public awareness.
An impactful street play was presented by artists of the Bhopal Division's Scout and Cultural Academy on Platform No. 1 of Bhopal Main Railway Station. Through the play, they conveyed the message of the importance of trees, environmental protection and a plastic-free lifestyle. The artists inspired passengers and railway employees towards environmental conservation through slogans such as "Plant Trees, Save the Earth."
During the programme, cloth bags were also distributed to passengers and others present, and they were made aware of the need to avoid the use of single-use plastic. The play effectively conveyed the message that trees are an integral part of human life and that life without them cannot be imagined. Everyone present appreciated the programme and described it as a successful initiative to take the message of environmental protection to the masses.

In the same sequence, an environmental protection pledge was administered and a tree plantation programme was organised at the Sub-Divisional Railway Hospital, Bina. Along with spreading awareness about environmental protection in the hospital premises, cloth bags were also distributed.
On the occasion, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Abhiram Khare, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer and District Commissioner, Scout, Vijay Singh, Chief Divisional Medical Officer and District Commissioner, Guide, Shruti Medhkar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, the Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, and other officers and employees were present.
